Whether you are using whole pilchards, garfish, tommy ruff, squid or strip baits, a set of pre-rigged three x 3/0 Jarvis Walker Ganged hooks are what you need. With it's linked-through-the-eye set-up, it will make it easy for you to twist and turn the hooks so that you can set them up right along the body of the bait.
This will not only help the bait stay straight, but will also stop it from twisting, and when one of those toothy critters, like mackerel, tailor and barracuda, come along, you will have 3 chances of a hook-up. The 3/0 would be ideal to use with medium-sized pilchards or garfish.
The benefit of using a ganged hook rig is that the bait is well-secured and the hook-up rate improves due to the added number of hook points aligned through the bait.
