2. About the Microphone

Some Android TV boxes do not have voice permission enabled.

You could try the way below to see if you could solve the problem.

You need to download the google now launcher. In google privacy settings choose enable voice. If it still doesnt work, it means your android tv box could not use the google voice search.

It is not a mic problem. You can use windows pc skype video or audio call to test, it works well.
