This Recycled Plastic Mat is a special one.

The grey and mauve design features Family as the centrepiece, the centre of ones being. Designed by our beloved local Indigenous Artist Christine Slabb, this Family Centre recycled plastic picnic mat has been created as part of a community collaboration with the Family Centre in Tweed Heads.

In 2007, the Creating Opportunites Fund was initiated, being supported by donations from local clubs, individuals and community groups.
We are contributing by donating 100% of the net profits of this mat to The Family Centre in Tweed to help them with their work supporting local Indigenous and non-Indigenous families. All profits contribute in assisting families under financial strain with the cost of school uniforms and excursions, tutoring and tuition, instruments, books, computer equipment or sports club fees and uniforms.

In 2019, in amongst many other targets, The Family Centre plans to not only establish a new community hub in Ballina but also establish a new outlet in the Northern Byron Shire in partnership with the Ocean Shores Community Centre. The message and story of the mat is that family relationships and connections provide and uphold strength, honour and respect. These strains of family connection flow deep within our soul, captivated by love.

Care Instructions: All of our floor mats have been made to the best attainable standards from UV treated recycled polypropylene. Follow the guide to mat maintenance for cleaning and storage instructions. Whilst our floor mats and playmats are suitable for indoor and outdoor use, extensive exposure to sun or rain will lead to fading and deterioration over time.
