This focal reducer allows you to mount Nikon G &; F lenses on Sony-E Mount cameras. The optical component is designed for using full-frame Nikon lenses on APS-C sized E-Mount sensors, providing an effective full-frame field of view and a boost in lens speed.
The optical effect is achieved by magnifying the image by a factor of 1.5x. This reduces the effective focal length of the lens by a factor of 0.72x and increases the lens speed by approximately 1 stop.
The adapter includes an aperture lever with a stepless aperture dial for controlling the iris of Nikon G series lenses. The adapter is precision-engineered to ensure infinity focus and is made primarily out of metal.
***This adapter is designed for APS-C sensor E-Mount cameras and requires full-frame Nikon lenses. The use of either a full-frame E-Mount camera or an APS-C sized Nikon lens will result in severe vignetting and an unusable image.
Please note:
This is a physical lens adapter only. All electronic lens control functions through your camera will not work, including aperture control and auto-focus, and you will be required to operate all lens functions manually.
