This is an 8 carrier braid which is why it is smooth and round. Many of the cheaper braids have only 4 carriers (strands) which makes them less round, rougher, and noisier through the line guides.GSR PEfiber Braid is fantastic for large overheads, mid to large sized electric reels, downriggers, and is a great choice for targetting REALLY serious fish.
