Active Optical Cable (AOC) is a cabling technology that accepts the same electrical inputs as a traditional copper cable, but uses optical fibre between the connectors to extend HDMI signals with zero loss or latency. Active Optical Cable (AOC) Active cables generally feature a uni-directional design. The Pro2 HL18GF series feature a Display (for TV, monitors etc) and Source (DVD, media, Blu-ray player etc.) label on each connector end.
