Sally Symes trained as a designer and has worked as a paper engineer, before she started to write her own books. She lives in Cuckfield, Sussex with her husband, two children and a cat called Bumble.

Nick Sharratt is an award-winning popular children's book artist, well known for illustrating the books of Jacqueline Wilson. Nick lives in Brighton, Sussex.
