Often the simplest solutions are the best! "Shoggy" is a guy in Germany within the watercooling scene is known for just such creativity. His latest project - the Shoggy sandwich - even managed in the renowned magazine PC Games Hardware Extreme.

This is a simple but highly effective shock absorber for your pump. The sandwich is the decoupling of the pump and, as the name implies, composed of multiple layers, using conventional hardware store materials. With a few simple steps this practical noise reducer is assembled at a reasonable price.

Between the two cell rubber flooring is a sponge rubber, where the actual absorption of vibrations takes place. The loose structure of the central part swallows the vibrations almost completely and kills any vibration noises.

For the two heavier rubber mats that are used to hold the pump and the attachment at the bottom of the case, included are the various screws and nuts to safely mount the sandwich. Unlike the first revision, the two outer mats are now self-adhesive and can be assembled without the use of adhesive.
