Accounting Made Easy with Reckon Accountsprovides detailed step-by-step, self-paced instructions to assist students who have limited knowledge of Reckon software and computerised accounting systems. Each chapter builds on knowledge gained in the previous chapters and is supported with helpful hints to maximise confidence and understanding of the software package and accounting fundamentals. Revision exercises are included with each chapter to further enhance the student's knowledge and understanding of Reckon Accounts.
The content of each chapter has been limited to approximately the amount that students can complete in a one hour class. Students begin by creating a data file, then move through to setting up subsidiary ledgers, the general ledger, recording a variety of transactions, and preparing reports. There are more features available in the software than we are able to cover in class, and it is hoped that students will be encouraged to further explore Reckon Accounts after completion of the exercises in this text. The software used with this text is Reckon Accounts 2014 and is available as a free download. Instructions on how access the software are included in the text.
