What does STI mean STI stands for Shimano Total Integration the handy integration of brake and gear levers built into one package, so you dont have to move your hands off the brake levers to change gears.
Pushing the brake lever sideways shifts the gears in one direction. A small lever on the inside of the hood of the levers shifts the gears in the other direction. This makes it easier to change gear quickly and accurately, while keeping your hands on the bars and in control.
