Skeleton Housing for GoPro HERO3/3+/4 | with open side for cable entry

Skeleton Housing (NON-Waterproof) to fit GoPro HERO3/GoPro HERO3+/ GoPro HERO4This after-market Skeleton housing allows for cable entry into the side of the camera while still being contained in a housing.

WARNING: It is important to note that the skeleton housing is NOT waterproof and should NOT be used for water-based activities.

Having said that, the skeleton housing comes with a closed back door and will offer some protection against light rain.

This enables you to use the camera outdoors and reduces the risk of rain damaging the camera if caught out in a rain shower or snow.

The open side of the housing allows for cable entry into the side of the camera - perfect for extended time-lapse sequences where an additional power source, such as a battery Power Bank, is required.

The housing is the same size as the Standard housing for GoPro HERO3+ and GoPro HERO4 cameras.

You can swap the closed backdoor of the skeleton housing with the OPEN backdoor that comes with the Standard housing for GoPro HERO3+ or HERO4 cameras.

That provides for more ventilation and better audio in dry conditions. If you own the GoPro HERO4 Silver Edition camera, using your own OPEN backdoor would allow for access to the Touch screen on the back of the camera.

You CAN fit the GoPro HERO3 camera into this skeleton housing but NOTE that in this case, the Skeleton Housing back door will not be able to be swapped with backdoors from the HERO3/DIVE housing as the doors are different sizes.
