The 50mm Taylor Made Nippy Nymph has been designed with bream and bass in mind, but this shouldn t stop you using this tremendously vibrant lure when you target trout, estuary perch, or golden and silver perch, as it will dive to 1.5 metres, and It has an ideal bib and body design to make it bounce over snags, rock bars and across shallow flats.
Whether it s being trolled or retrieved, it will stay straight and true while have a slight shimmy. This is a great lure to cast up close to the rock shoreline and bounce it back down the rock face into deeper water. You could also try trolling it along the edge of floating weed beds and lily pads.
It's also very effective when cast up into the back of pontoons, or under wharves, and slowly twitched back out. Many of the strikes will occur just as the lure is about to go past the end of the pontoon or pylon.
