In 'Journey Through the Mists' (1996) a herd of Longnecks bring news of mists and strange creatures that inhabit the marshes and trees beyond the Great Valley. At first this does not affect Littlefoot and his friends, but when he has to search for the petals of a golden Night Flower in order to cure his ailing Grandpa, he learns that the flower can only be found in the Land of Mists. In 'The Mysterious Island (1997) Littlefoot (Brandon La Croix), Cera (Anndi McAfee), Spike, Ducky (Aria Curzon) and Petrie set off in search of a mysterious island, ignoring advice that the journey could be dangerous.
