Beta-Cel is a daily electrolyte supplement specifically designed for greyhounds. Training, travelling and panting deplete electrolytes each day, particularly during the hotter months. Electrolyte deficiencies may lead to dehydration, cramping, poor performance and nervousness.

Common greyhound diets may not contain sufficient electrolytes (body salts) to meet the needs of racing greyhounds. Training, travelling and panting deplete electrolytes each day, particularly during hotter months. BETA-CEL added to food can prevent electrolyte deficiencies.
BETA-CEL contains a range of different salts including chloride, magnesium and potassium in the optimal amounts to meet the needs of the working dog. BETA-CEL also contains glucose to aid in the absorption of salts from the gut, plus lactate and citrate salts which help buffer muscle acidosis.

WHEN TO USE BETA-CEL
BETA-CEL is recommended as the base electrolyte supplement in the greyhound's diet, to which other electrolyte formulations such as Beta-K, Neutradex or Recharge can be added to meet specific needs or aid in recovery from travelling or racing.
Routine daily dosage is 3g (1 level teaspoon measure) in the morning or evening meal.
