The Parma collection is inspired by the refined terracotta decoration of the suggestive ;Abbey of Valserena, a Lombard Gothic Cistercian monastery known from Stendhal’s novel as the “Certosa di Parma”. Its sophisticated designs take on the delicate colours of the ornaments made by romantic architects during the period of the Gothic revival. The patterns are designed by Architect Patrizia Trupiano.
